Hi Everyone,

Not much to report on this place. We basically used it as a one night stop over enroute from Oudtshoorn to the wineland areas. It was a very cute little town though. It is nestled in the mountains. Very friendly and quiet place. It must have a very small population. There is one main street that has a few restuarants and a supermarket.

We stayed at a farm backpackers. It was very rustic. Chickens walking all over the place, as well as some peacocks. Your typical farm dogs and cats too. We went out for dinner to a restuarant that had been recommended some time ago on our travels. It has not been open for long in the town. Infact they are still waiting for their liquour licence, and are not allowed to sell you alcohol. There is nothing stopping your from bringing your own wine though. They encourage you to do so and will glady serve it to you. The name of the place is the Succulant Cafe. The food is very creative and flavourful. We dined in their intimite little courtyard outside. On the way back to our accomodation we stopped for a while along side the main road. There was a large tree that was quickly filling up with hundreds of birds. There were Ibis, Cranes, and many other types, all fighting to get a spot in the tree and making a hell of a noise doing so.

We retired early and therefore got an early start in the morning to our next stop.
