Morocco was a whole different world. Everybody was really friendly, except for a few, and very accommodating. We stuck out like a sore thumb so everybody gave us prolonged looks and, whoever we met whether at dinner or on the street, easily picked us out of the crowd and chatted us up the next time we saw them. We had some great beach weather the first day (even though it seemed we were the only people relaxing on the beach enjoying the sun. I´m sure all the locals were used to the hot African sun and not embracing it like we were.) We tried some local cuisine including chicken and shrimp tajine and some mrozia (a roast dish with white grapes and some type of nut in a sweet sauce). We were a little worried about how the food would effect us because we had read about what not to eat but we went for it anyway. With the help of some digestive cookies (i´m sure its only a brand name but they might have been the miracle cure) we had no problems with the food. We were just getting comfortable with the culture when we had to take off back to Spain. We stayed a night in windy Tarifa then took a bus to Sevilla. This week is their April Festival so the city has a lot of stuff going on such as bull fights, soccer matches, parades, and parties. We went to the Sevilla vs. Villareal futbol match last night which was awesome. I had never been to a live futbol (or soccer, whatever you prefer) and had wanted to go for a long time so it was really exciting for me. The atmosphere was crazy. Sevilla won 2-0. Today we are going to check out the city and maybe check out a bullfight later. Should be interesting...
