Beans and rice, fried plantains and two fried cheese? cubes, with Cafe' y leche. My favorite pop Latino song was playing during breakfast. "Tengo la Camisa Negra" by Facundo Arana - I have a black shirt. A young man wears a black shirt to show how sad he feels about  breaking up with his girlfriend. You can see the video on

Hey, look what I found under my mattress - a 3 ft machete, rusted  but very sharp. The night manager traded me beds the first night so I had a bottom bunk. He forgot his blade.He remembered yesterday.  My goal /More walking - less eating. I am preparing for my presentation and sitting by the pool right now, but it's time for a walk.
