Friday I spent mostly just bumming around. I watched the news channel all morning...just to get caught up on all the happenings in Canada. I then watched 'All my Children', a soap I would follow religiously while I lived in Canada. After some two years, I only recognized a few characters. There were quite a few new ones...all these people had gotten married and had kids and some actors had been changed around. You know...the usual soap stuff...except compacted by two years. LOL. I got dressed and walked to a nearby mall which had a Zellers. I needed to buy a watch. I invested in a Timex 'Expedition' which has two time zones and a fancy mini-compass on the strap. Very cool. Ate a poutine at the malls food court and then headed back to the house. Lucas and Trevor picked up a BBQ chicken from Safeway and we made rice-paper wraps with Hoisin sauce. Very tasty. We had the 'pah-vey' for dessert and even made some un-orthodox 'caipirinhas' with the leftover sugar cane rum. We used lemons (which just don't work as well) and then threw in some frozen blackberries for effect. The color was very pretty and it tasted pretty good. After a glass or two though...we didn't really notice what they tasted like. LOL!
We celebrated our last evening together and I excused myself so I could go perform some creative luggage management.
Last night on the magic 'hover bed'.
