I can't believe that 2 weeks from today we will be IN Cairo.
Tasks accomplished since the last blog... I picked up our suitcases, a little smaller than I remembered, so I am working on logistics. I went shopping for all the medical/ extras we need- boy do things ever add up at the till. Bought a head scraf-- went shopping with my co-workers wife, and she was able to show me a few options, so I feel prepared to enter a Mosque respectfully. Picked up our traveller's cheques- they don't make them any bigger than $100 anymore... so I had to sign my name a few more times than I wanted-- but I love the fact that the US dollar has tanked, at least in terms of the trip cost.
When I look at the calender my heart jumps, we two weeks of work-- no weekends to prep since we are helping Gramma move and then, well then we are on a plane.
I am sort of writing this rambling piece to see if it will send people in my address book automatic notification. Sorry.
Can't wait until the entries actually mean something interesting.

Sounds awesome!
Hey travellers! It's been fun reading about your adventure on your blog. I felt claustophobic just reading about the pyramids as you decribed the lack of light and fresh air. You'll have many stories and some fab pictures to show everyone!
Much love and please stay safe!
