I had the worst sleep ever. The wind howled, and whipped around the building like it was created to keep me awake. There were also really loud drunk neighbours (locals, not from our group.) Regardless, the result was simple, I missed my alarm and was late late late!! I woke up five minutes after we were supposed to rally and meet downstairs. Stupid clock. As a result, I dressed in a panic and rushed downstairs, and almost immediately got on the bus.

We went straight for our flight to Beijing, then a quick transfer over to Dalian. Because of this whole late fiasco and air travel, I had not eaten well, or really at all. We arrived at what would be our home for the next two months long enough to drop our bags and head for dinner.

The worst of it was, how do you effectively direct a large group of people who are all tired from travel towards a vague common goal? I started warning people that I was in some serious need of food, but that didn't get me anywhere. So I started to set the pace, and that didn't really work because I didn't know where we were going. Finally I coined the term- angry hungry- and by then I was too far gone to be nice about it. I finally got some food and all the anger subsided, but the term has come in handy all trip for a variety of people struggling against group movements.

The rest of the evening was for shopping at Trust-Mart, unpacking, and setting up our rooms to try to mimic a homey feel.
