The next day, we left our hotel bound for the other end of the lush Sacred Valley of the Incas to Ollantaytambo, the Sanctuary of the Wind.
Our first stop was the Urko Temple located in Calca Village. There were alot of serpent sculptures and designs here which is similar to Egypt. According to the Inca civilization, the Serpent symbolizes fertility. They believed that we fertilize everything. We fertilize our minds, our emotions, our relationships, our working environment, spirituality, intelligence etc. It is up to us whether we fertilize it with positive or negative energies and whatever we fertilize is what we will harvest. In western philosophy, it is called reaping what you sow and in eastern spirituality it is called karma.
