Posadas has turned out to be a pretty sweet city. 35 (13 CAD) got us a spacious double room, with a private bath and even a single bed. The first night we just walked around and soaked up the town. It´s got a nice feel and a less extreme climate.
The next day we didn´t get out till the afternoon, but it was still plenty of time to bus out to San Ignacio for the Jesuit Misione ruins. The museum was pretty cheesey, but the ruins were actually cooler then I was thinking. Really worth the trip. Today was a relaxing day spent walking around town and down to the riverfront area, which was really nice. We had a crazy burger at this place with awesome riverfront views called de la Costa. These burgers had: ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, a fried egg, red peppers, pickles and a large beef patty, all for 7 pesos (2.60 CAD.) As Jeff noted, I talk alot about food, but how could I not when you can get so much amazing food for so little.
Tomorrow, we have an 18 hour bus ride to salta... barf! But we´re staying in salta for almost a week, so that should be a nice break, before heading up into Bolivia. From all accounts Salta is beautiful, so I´m pretty excited. More thumbnails ...
