Magic mushrooms enjoy a semi-legal status here.. and you can buy them in several stores and apparently there is a mushroom vending machine open 24 hours for those who need a fix at any hour... Odd that many of the countries we've visited have fairly draconian drug laws yet you can buy mushrooms here, and in Cambodia at a place called "Happy Herbs Pizza" they'll serve you marijuana on your pizza..
In summary, we have had a fabulous trip! Every country we visited had unique and different experiences to offer.. Randy and I were fantastic travel buddies and I would travel with him again anywhere.. We got along great the entire trip and were always in sync with one another! I strongly recommend travelling to Asia.. what a learning, life changing experience!!! Now that we are back we can reflect and get some much needed sleep.. although I've been rather nocturnal this past week... it's very peaceful at 3am when everyone is sleeping..! I hope that everyone has had a wonderful holiday.. Happy New Year ! I hope that this year brings the dreams and discovery that everyone deserves...
I've been watching CNN and the horrific views into the worst natural disaster in history and I want to take a moment to suggest that everyone donate money to any one of the following organizations for aid to the people who have been affected!!
Take a moment this New Years to reflect on the positive, not the negative... We all have our own battles and life at times takes us to places we don't deserve to be... However, we don't live in poverty, we don't sleep in the street, we don't live in a garbage dump, we don't live with political fear and extremist goverments... and we have not just lost 30 family members to a tsunami! We have enough food to eat, we have clean drinking water, we live in a democracy, we have more than we think we do!
Take a moment this new years to celebrate life, to set aside differences, to appreciate what you have, for many people around the world don't know gifts, don't have celebration, don't know peace, don't know life the way we know it! and in the New Year vow to help people more.. vow not to be attached to materialism, vow to help a tourist in Toronto to figure out where they are going.. vow to follow your dreams and discover all that life has too offer .. vow to make a difference in someone's life... and donate for Tsunami disaster relief...
In your worst moment, perspective is everything..
Live, dream, discover, explore...
