Well after no less than, mmmm, I don't know, 50 questions on the France-side (ok fine, I'll stay in Paris.... see if I care! ha!), a 'bomb' scare (some idiot forgot their bag basically), and more stupid questions on the US-side, I eventually made it home in one piece.  Going through the airport in Paris though, I have to say I felt tempted to stay in Europe just because it seemed easier than trying to go home.... how long was I in France, where did I stay, did I know the address of the place in Paris, what countries did I visit (that one took a while to answer!), did I change my plane ticket and if yes (yes) why?, how did I pay for my ticket on-line, why did I go for so long, how did I travel around, where did I stay in various countries, am I really an American?  And State-side was no better: how did I fund my trip (living at home for 2 yrs saving up), why did I go for so long (didn't I just tell you that???), did I miss my friends, what's my favorite color, what was the name of my first pet, did I prefer chocolate or fruit desserts???  Ok so maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but not by much!  I was desperately afraid they would try to confiscate my prized gifts of chocolate, mustard, curry ketchup (not the ketchup!!! anything but that!!!  (ok that one's for me obviously)), peanut butter (also for me haha), but hey Jenny Craig doesn't count any of these things as food, so why should I?  Take that, US customs!!!

Anyhow, back on the ground in one piece, I am totally still getting oriented and re-aquainted with Chicago, family and friends and am slowly getting back into a "schedule" *shudder*.  I also brought home about 15 more pounds with me but it was so worth it, I don't think I have a better reason for carrying around weight than from this trip.  Would I do it all over again if I had the chance? in a heartbeat.  Did I have favorite places and/or would I go back to any of them?  Pretty much everything was great except for Athens and Rome but they are big cities and probably should be given a second chance at some point.... just not on the top of my list for go-backs.  Do I have plans for another trip? mmmmmm Mayyyybeeee.  :)  Did I have names for the bedbugs?  You bet, but nothing that can be typed here anyways.....Do I still have issues with an English keyboard?  zhqt do zou think§§§

Thanks to everybody for travelling with me vicariously, it was nice to know I had friends with me in one way or another...  I'm sure I'll catch up with most of you soon, and the rest  hopefully soon!  If you want to hear about where to find an Indian Mariachi band, the Most Obnoxious Canadian Ever (making us Yank tourists look downright prim and proper compared), the crazy Lithuanian guy I met on a train to Berlin, or the story of an almost missed train by 2 Vancouver guys, or any other burning questions you might have, let's do it over tea/coffee!  I hope to post more pictures in the next couple days for a lot of the previous postings, now that I have a safe computer to use, so keep a look-out for that!  Thanks again, see you soon!  Happy travels.... :)
