Yesterday I arrived in Kuala Lumpur from the Cameron Highlands. The four hour bus journey was one of the worst of my life! If you have been following my blog, you will know that I slept all the way on the journey up to the Highlands, but sadly, not on the way down! I was on a 29 seater air-con bus, and for two very long hours it followed the most windy and bendy and jerky road I have ever been down in my life. I felt so sick for the entire two hours, it seemed to go on for ages. But when we got to the bottom we joined a motorway straight into KL (thats what everyone calls Kuala Lumpur).

I had looked up a hostel to stay in when I was in Georgetown, so I headed straight there. The public transport in Kuala Lumpur is amazing, it's clean, very easy to use and very cheap.

I stayed one night in the Equator Hostel, which was okay, but in a very expensive and noisy area of the city. Today, I moved to the Cosmopolitan Hostel which is in a quieter and more trendy area of this amazing city. I am going to spend the weekend exploring KL, and visiting it's tourist areas and attractions. From what I've seen so far I am in for a great weekend!
