We are still in Beijing at the moment and still looking for jobs. We have had a few interviews with agencies but they tell you they have a job in a good location, get you in for an interview, then Tell you that that job has gone, but they have one in some desolate place in the north paying you tuppence!

Anyway, so we have been looking for jobs most of the time but we have been going out to parks in the afternoons. Which is where all the photos are from. Chinese parks are really interesting to walk around, especially at the weekends, as everyone is out. On easter Sunday we went to  park which had a lookout area that looked out over the forbidden city one side and the rest of the park on the other. We could hear massive groups of people singing traditional Chinese songs from the park below, which sounded really epic. All the blossom trees are in full bloom at the moment so everywhere looks really pretty.

One park we have been to, had a bird that could pick up coins and put it into a money bank! and a man that made shapes out of sugar stuff. Its all going on.

We also went to the Olympic village! Where we saw the nest stadium and the water cube! The water cube is pretty much the most awesome building Ive ever seen. The lights are so good at night and the inside (from the pictures I saw) looks SO good, like being in a bubble. We couldn't go in as they were doing work on it. The areas in between the two main buildings is so vast but there's nothing in it, I'm not sure why there is so much space all around as its just pavement. There were lots of kite flyers as well. Kite flying is really poplar here, there's always a man just randomly standing somewhere with a massive kite winder upper thing looking into the sky, the kites get so high that it takes a while to find where it is flying.
We have manged to learn some Chinese characters as well, so we can order things off a menu now (handy as if you order off an English menu, your going to be paying double the price).
