I have already started to feel like Amman is my new home! (albeit the horrible weather we've been having)  My apartment is nice, the language center has a friendly atmosphere and fun teachers, I've met other students from the CIEE program who have become very close friends, Hazami's friends here in Jordan have adopted me into their family and treated me extremely well, I have a few hang out spots and restaurants that I have grown to love, and the allover environment in Amman is very relaxed and comfortable.  I was telling friends the other day that I have not been this relaxed in a long long time! In the states it's always go go go and I always having something I need to do.....I'm actually able to enjoy life for what it is here!

Also, when I watch an American news station like CNN or FOX I get fed propaganda and celebrity gossip, when I watch Al Jazeera English here I actually get the news and feel like I know what's going on in most all parts of the world.  My life in the states was filled with frustration because of the way our foreign policy is going and how our government is manipulating the people through fear. Here I am finally able to remove myself from a lot of that hype going on in the US.

Not that Amman is perfect.  As I was telling Najib yesterday I worry about the future of our world.....you can see the effect of money and power on Amman and on the whole Middle East....just as you can in America and most everywhere else in the world.  The Middle East is in a transition phase where some countries have already modernized, and others are on their way.  However with modernization people tend to focus on money.....and while that obviously is important, sometimes morals and true happiness get pushed to the side. I just hope we as people in this new age don't forget our morals and values all for the sake of money and power.

Anyways, life is good in Amman!  I've been dancing, eating, learning, meeting new people, and relaxing so life is good.  Home sweet home :)
