Day 25 – Friday 21st May

We got up early again for a run. It is so much more pleasant at this time of day, and out of the sun.  It's still 16 degrees at this time, but much better than 30 in the direct sunlight.  We found a really old part of time not far from the Plaza Nueva which was quite cool.  Everything seemed very  old again, and since it was by the river, it almost felt like a really old village.  The rest of Granada, despite the historic buildings such as the cathedral and the Alhambra, Granada didn't feel overly old. Obviously it is, but the main streets were quite wide and it just felt like there was a lot of space, even in amongst the shopping alleys.  I think I thought it was going to be a bit more like Toledo – not sure why.  Just the impression I got for some reason

Today we drove from Granada to Valencia – about 5 and a half hours.  I was originally going to do a stop about halfway near a beach, but we decided we would spend an extra day in Valencia since it is close to the coast too.  It's so much better being able to leave the tent up for a few days

Sharon on

Went to a bread making course yesterday at Brenda's and now today have just brought the cows down the road to Bushy and taken the heifers home.
We have only had 50 mls in this last lot of rain so that was lucky as U Robert had 200 mls. There is flooding further south.
Grandma P is trying to write a reply to you so hopefully you get it.
Cold and dull today so will light the fire.

Bye for now
Love MUM
