Where I stayed
Bahia San Gabriel

Flag of Mexico  , Baja California Sur,
Saturday, April 28, 2012

I know that you will have a small problem with this, but we seriously needed a break from boat work. La Paz was the perfect place. The weather has been between 50 and 100, with wind, lots and lots of wind. But aside from the temperature differences, we could count on fantastic food,  welcoming and interesting people (gringo and native), beautiful beaches with amazing sunsets, lots of wind and no drama. We fixed up our wiring and installed the solar panel (with a fuse) and have spent most of the last 2 weeks getting into the Mexican spirit. The sink is leaking? Maņana.

We are leaving this tranquil slice of life today, May 1, 2012 around noon for a 300 mile trek across the sea of Cortez to Mazatlan. We are expecting light air from the northwest, but will probably get 25 knots from the south. We should arrive in 2 or 3 days.

Daisy in heaven. Give this dog four inches of water and she will wade until she drops.

   Long way to the water.

Ginger barking at something the rest of us cannot see. She does that 100% of the time when in the water. We think she's happy.

I know! I'm not making this stuff up and I'm not adding color.  In fact, it was more vivid than I could capture with a mere camera.

Forgive me, I'm really only sharing a miniscule amount of sunset shots.
