The guest house was probably my favorite place I had stayed in so far with exception of the Ger. However my back didn't agree. It felt like i'd been beaten up during the night. Eggs on toast for breakfast which was free then on to the bus terminal which would take us to Busan, which was just an hour a way. The journey took less than an hour in the end. Not having directions to the hostel, we phoned up took directions, then navigated the underground. The hostel was not sign posted at all and turned out to be one flat on the 18th floor of an apartment block. It was nice enough though, free Internet, toast and coffee and free laundry. My back was now quite painful. I had to result to taking a few pain killers and lying down for a while. Not wanting to leave anything to chance I wanted to head down to the ferry port to pick up the tickets for the Beetle. A hi speed hydrofoil which make the trip to Fukuaka in japan in under 3 hours. When we arrived at the ferry terminal the ticket office was shut. We managed to track someone down eventually who told us to come back the date of departure. Being a port city, we thought the beach was worth a look. One of the restaurant owners in Gyeoungju had recommended Haeundae beach so we headed that way. It was almost like a holiday resort in Spain, with a few less bars and no British yobs. It was dark when we got there so we just had a look around for while, sussing things out so we could return tomorrow. Stopping for some bits and pieces on the way back we had an early night and a cheap meal.
