Yup... holding a Kenyan passport brings trouble yet again. Went to the Vietnamese embassy and were told we need some type of approval from immigration when they are the very same people who deal with immigration :s
Were told we need an approval from Vietnam and it's difficult to get the approval as we are in Bangkok! Can you believe that??? Stupid people didn't tell me this when I called them 5-6 times in London to make sure we could get the visa issued in Thailand. Even Akshay needs a visa so he can't blame this one on my Kenyan passport.
Didn't have any problems with the Laos embassy, infact we got them within 15 mins of applying. Surely if there's so much hassle in getting a Vietnamese visa there's probably nothing to see in that country. We'll need a few stiff cocktails to forget about the day's experience.
Dinner in the evening by the river followed by Thai Cultural performances. Some dances depict scenes from the Ramayan (Ramakien in Thai). The costumes were very glamorous and blingy.
