Abismo Anhumas is an abyss 72m below the surface with a lake at the bottom with crystal clear water with loads of different mineral compositions (both below and above the water) in Bonito. We abseiled down using a rappel. Roohi was very scared (though not as much as Somerset). Roohi also did some snorkelling which she found difficult initially as she kept on breathing through the nose. Akshay did some diving which was quite awesome - there´s a skeleton of an anteater about 20m deep!

Bonito is a funky town. The call boxes are in the shapes of birds and animals of the pantanal. We hit the bars in the evening and Akshay dared to try the local cachaça brew (sugar cane rum). The expression on his face said it all - guess he´ll be less adventurous next time.

Half restaurants closed today - maybe coz its a Monday?!? Naturally we can´t be asked to cook yet, since Akshay needs his special spices, oils, woks, etc. not to mention the right type of heat!

Wow, that sounds amazing...though it also sounds like something I wouldn't be able to do (pull my own weight, snorkelling)...Will check out photos later...
