Good sleep to recover from the jet lag.

Matthias (owns the hostel) shows us around the area. Roohi less scared especially when she finds out that military generals live in the same area (hence the Mafia like police).

First glance of Rio - expensive city with a heavy police presence. Lots of pollution and smelly. however the fresh fruit juices are worth it!

The tourism information person tried to sell us the city saying  everything "it is so beautiful" with every sentence.

Took a tram up the cobbled roads of Santa Theresa area. Tram packed like a mathree with people hanging out from all the sides.
