okay, well I landed in Johannesburg without much of a story to tell, which i suppose is a good thing.
There is a ten hour time difference from here to the West Coast, so the clocks here are telling me that it's abour 8 in the morning. I'm all shaky , although I don't feel that tired.
I feel very self-concious of my American accent, which I never would have expected. There were very few Americans on the plane here, and I just feel like I have it written all over my face. Right now I am going on a mission to find a water fountain to fill my water bottle. I don't feel that tired, but I guess I am too overwhelmbed to deal with finicial transactions like exchanging money or buying a bottle of water. I guess I'll give it a try if I can't find a water fountain.
I will be lanfing at my final destination in only a couple of hours... i'm running out of time. i'll write again later when there is more to say

Shipments
I hope the bottle of water I just shipped to you gets there in time.
this and that
Hi Anne, I forwarded your blog site to Lura. I hope she will be corresponding to you as well. This blog is a terrific idea and is my first!!! (sorry for the exclamation points, I couldn' resist.)
Having just returned from a week in New York where the temperature was 15 degrees, your part of the world sounds pretty inviting. I was in NY for business and was also able to attend Cassius' band concert and Leland's school play 'Into the Woods' in which he played a tree. It was pretty hilarious (to use a Lura word). I am sure everything will smooth out and fall into place once you have been there for a while. It is rather reassuring to know that young men (with a bit of money) are the same everywhere. Please send me your mailing address so I can send the occasional care package.
Love and Kisses
Auntie Ellen
