I have just arrived a few minutes ago here in Germany. Since the weather here is very similar to the weather in Chicago, I packed things that I would normally wear in Chicago. I brought my coat, long-sleeved shirts, shirts, hoodies, and pants. I checked the weather and it supposed to be cold (30s and 40s all week). My room is pretty nice because I have a great view of Stuttgart from the window. The hotel is wonderful. I was surprised at how great it was for such a low price. From what I have seen so far, this trip is going to be great. Either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, I plan on taking a trip to see Neues Schloss (New Castle).
