We are on our way to India and are routing through Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport, for the 2nd time in our trip. Last time, we had about 2-3 hour layover and we were both extremely tired. So, instead of exploring the airport, we decided to take a little nap at the Economy Lounge (well, there are nothing there except for some large number of comfortable couches and chairs). Since we did not spend much time checking out the airport, we didn't find many shops and our first impression was - what an impressive looking new airport, but darn, it is boring.
This time, we have about 4 hours and we decided to walk around a little. Our first impression was soooo wrong. This airport is simply huge and filled with tons and tons of shops and restaurants. It feels more like a modern mall than an airport. Of course, everything costs an arm and a leg.
We happened to lug the beer and food that we did not finish at Cambodia over to Thailand. So, our dinner was just the 2 beer and some dry bean curd. Yum.
