The coolest part of the day was that Dave was asked to give a customer testimonial for the Cherry Bomb Exhaust Company on XM radio, which was recorded for airing this Sunday during the first hour of the Motor Trend Show at noon Central time
. I'll get the exact channel number tomorrow. If you miss it, I'll be putting the full interview on YouTube.
Oh, and I need to say a big THANKS to all the people we see wearing ARS Promotions Race Day t-shirts. So AWESOME! We saw guys in Madison and today. Also THANK YOU to our new fans at the Power Tour who are wearing the ARS Promotions hats. I'm honored.
Next up, Somerset, Kentucky! Hopefully we'll dodge the rain...
The Daytons are in Dayton! Ohio, that is. We were blessed with partly sunny skies and 70 degree temps. A little rain this morning on the ride in from Warren, Mi, but no big deal. There was one big deal I should mention though. We were going through downtown Detroit on the highway during rush hour, I should add, AND in the middle lane, when suddenly the hood of the Nova flipped straight up in front of our windshield !!! A rivet in the hood hinge broke loose, causing the hood to shift back and flip up. Fortunately we were travelling with a large group and were able to pull over quickly and get it secured for the remainder of the trip. Dave made a call to Ron Normann at McHenry Classic Car Parts and he's overnighting new hood hinges to our hotel in Somerset, KY.
