Phew what scorcher of a day, today it has been 27 degrees, sunny and bloody gorgeous. Started off with a nice brekkie over looking Darling harbour. Then thought we would head for the Sydney Tower, got spectacular views over Sydney all the way to the Blue Mountains. It is just amazing to see the Harbour from above, you really get to appreciate how big it is - not sure you all know that it's the largest natural harbour in the world. The experience was only marred by a man who had incredible bad BO, he really did stink.
Before we headed for some lunch we decided to go to the Contemporary art museum. Hmm, interesting what people call art, there was an exhibition by someone showing his photography - well all I can say is my photos are much better.
Had lunch in the park again - and then went to the cathedral, very peaceful and amazing architecture. Walked through the Botanical Gardens to see the bats and other things - see pictures of the wildlife. Caught the ferry back to Darling harbour, really is te best way to see the harbour for only $5.40. It's our last day in Sydney today, and all I can say is the city is one of the best I have ever visited, and hopefully this won't be the last time. Catching an early flight tomorrow! See the next blog entry to see where we go. More thumbnails ...

Hi! (reply) Mar 23, 2007 16:17 EST by petebinessex
The photos are great, the fact that the weather has taken a turn for the worse here just exacerbates the envy! I cant spell Swarzenneger either but wasnt he short for a tough guy?! I shall follow your travels with interest. Have a great time, look forward to catching up properly when you both get back! Don't forget to walk on the left you ba*****s! All the best, Pete
