I'm currently in San Francisco, with one full day left before I board the SuperShuttle to SFO (at 2:40am!) and head out to Quito, Ecuador. It's a mad dash to the starting line, and it feels like I have a million loose ends to tie up. But things will work themselves out, as they tend to do.

Here's a quick overview of my (very tentative) itinerary:

- Quito
- Quilotoa loop
- Cotopaxi
- Riobamba -- train to Sibambe
- Cuenca

- Chachapoyas - Kuelap -- Pre-Columbian ruins
- Huaraz and the Cordilleras Blancas -- Hiking
- Lima
- Ica -- Sandboarding
- Arequipa -- Colca Canyon
- Cuzco -- Salkantay alternate Inca trail to...
- Machu Picchu

- Lake Titicaca -- Floating Islands
- Rurrenabaque -- Amazon Basin river tour
- La Paz -- Winter Solstice festival
- Uyuni -- Salt flats
- Tupiza
- Sucre
- Santa Cruz

- Pantanal
- Iguazu Falls
- Rio de Janeiro

... then back to California, just in time to get ready for business school. It's anyone's guess right now as far as how closely I'll follow this itinerary -- often the most interesting adventures are the ones you couldn't possibly plan for. (In a good way, hopefully!)

The cafe I'm at (Muddy's, 24th and Valencia) is about to close, so ciao for now -- and if you have my number, feel free to give me a wake up call at around 2:30am PDT on Sunday morning. ;)
