Before bed last night, we had decided we were going to try to head out to the barn between 9:00 and 10:00a. I woke up at the crack of 9:00a, and went downstairs, fully convinced Stevie was going to give me crap for sleeping in so late. I was very surprised to see that she was still asleep herself! MUAHAHA! I win! No crap about getting my beauty sleep! J After we got ready to take on the day, we went out to the barn to feed the horses.

At the barn I was excited to reacquaint myself with Snaffle and the new barn kittens. Then, the day took a very negative turn when Stevie found Partner, a very old, special, and important horse to the family, choking. I learned that this was the third or fourth time this had happened, and they made the decision to put him down so he wouldn't have to suffer anymore. Sara came in from Columbus to be there with her horse. It was a highly emotional and sad day.

Around 6:00p, Stevie and I went out to Kickin again where she was teaching line dance classes. I can add to my "toe-heel-stomp" repertoire now, as I learned three new line dances! The first one was a review of a dance they’d learned last week to the song “Honky Tonk Badonky Donk”, the second was a new dance to “Girls Lie Too”, and the last was another review to “Loud”. I felt like a dancing machine, and very capable for picking up and almost mastering the three dances within an hour. After the lesson part of the evening the dance floor was open for anyone to dance. I got to dance the three new dances all over again throughout the evening, but I didn’t get to toe-heel-stomp. ::Sigh::

We left Kickin around 9:30p, very early for Stevie, and went back to the house to meet her dad so the three of us and the two dogs could drive to Columbus to spend the night with Sara. The drive out to Columbus was very bumpy and we had to stop a few times because one of the dogs had the “Hershey squirts”. We were listening to a very odd mix of music and flipping through the radio. Stevie and I made the realization that we both date songs and take a mental vacation to the past and re-live the moments particular songs make us think about. It was a nice bit of good nostalgia.

When we made it to Sara’s house, all of use went to the Waffle House for a 12:30a snack. There were five of us going and we practically took over the Waffle House. We were at a very small table and had ordered enough food for seven people with regular appetites. It was a wonderfully hilarious time! We had a fun waitress and a hilarious short-order chef. The waitress went along with Tim, who asked for his hash browns “creped” when he meant “capped”, and the chef sang along to the music on the juke box and played air guitar. He even tried to be really slick and toss eggs around, but he sort of failed and made an egg-y mess all over the floor. The chef also brought Stevie, Sara, and I napkin flowers!

We were back at Sara and Tim’s by 2:30a, and hit the hay pretty quickly thereafter.
