Yesterday was a very fun day. We didn't get moving until late in the day, like 1:30ish which was wonderful. :) Sarah had asked me to bring my cello to Nashville so she can use it when I'm in Europe, so yesterday we had a mini jam session and rocked the cello/violin duet thing. This was the first time I'd picked up my cello in about a year, so I was very rusty, but I did get right back in the swing of things pretty quickly!

The funniest was when Sarah started playing my cello. She hasn't played cello before, and it sounded like she was killing a small cat. At this point, Adrienne and Ted said "Adois!" and made a break for it before it got really awful. I was slightly jealous... Sarah did get into the groove of it pretty quickly, but she still needs lots of practice. :) Ted will be so happy when she gets my finger drill book and runs scales all the time! MUAHAHA!!!!

After we had our jam session, I took a trip to the laundry mat to dry clothes. I really liked this laundry mat! I know, sort of weird. But, it was really bright and cheerful inside, very deserted, and they were playing groovy 70s rock. I sat and did my crosswords while the dryer ran, and 35 minutes later, I was on my way! 

Back at the house, we were lean mean cleaning machines! We whipped the house into shape and started preparing for dinner. We were making beans, bread, and rice for their friend Kristen who was coming over for dinner. To prep the beans we had to bring them to life! Dried beans take a while to make, and they boiled over a few times making very large messes. The beans were finally done prepping and it was time for more cleaning. Somewhere in this I got roped into helping Adrienne assemble furniture, and as a reward I got a very tasty Woodchuck Fall Cider. Mmmm! It tasted like pumpkin pie.

When we started really making dinner, I was stuck on chopping duty and had very runny eyes from the ridiculously strong onion. Blek. I had very pretty peppers though, in the bowl, they made pretty stripes. Red pepper, green pepper, then onion. After chopping, I sautéed the veggies. I do love how they smell in that sauté mode. 

Dinner turned out fabulously! The food was great, the company even better. We had very silly conversations about the most random things, but I think that's what made it so much fun. We ended up wrapping the evening up with Adrienne's delicious scotch! Mmmmmmmm........... It was TASTY. 

I would love to elaborate more, but I am running late for my date to drive to Ohio AGAIN. I am really sick of spending time in my car, but I am very excited to see my friend/sister.
