Our time with the amazing Argentinian country has come to a close.   Heat, wine, and tango in the North,  Wind, penguins, lamb, and mountains in the South...not forgetting steak and more steak throughout.  We really enjoyed our time in Argentina, so much that the top 3 list is now the top 5 list.
Arik's Top 5
El Chalten and Fitz Roy:  A one horse town, ready to boom, on the footsteps of a spectacular park...and a great NYE celebration.
Ushuaia:  The end of the world that has a very homey feel.  Hot chocolate, all you can eat grills, and cute lil penguins that all warm your heart.  Next time we'll add a trip to Antarctica
Buenos Aires:  An international city with a unique culture that is easy to love.  The cafes, steak, tango, and the European charm will be a lasting memory The Final Steak

.
Moreno:  Big Blue, the biggest ice cube I've ever seen.  I just regret not mixing an iceberg cocktail!
Bariloche:  Like a quick stop back in Vancouver, circa 1800, the city is full of charm.  It would be great to see it in ski season.
Charis' Top 5
Ushaia Penguins: It was a very neat experience getting off the zodiak and crawling onto a beach to hang out with thousands of little penguins. They were super cute and I loved checking out the babies! Next time I want to see the King Penguins.
Iguazu: Well I have never been to Niagara Falls so this was amazing. The waterfalls were massive and beautiful.
Bariloche: A very cute homey feeling town. Lots of cute shops, restaurants and great beaches.
Mendoza: Well this is where I had the best steak of my life!! Plus the wine tours were awesome and the city was full of beautiful parks to hang out in.
Moreno: It was an amazing feeling take a catamaran towards this massive blue glacier. Then walking above it and hearing the ice pieces fall was just as incredible.
Other memories of Argentina will be the devotion to drinking mate, too many steaks (few pounds added to the waistline as a reminder), the smooth accent, eating late, staying up late, and sleeping in late.  The only major downside of Argentina is that as a travel destination the discount from their economic collapse is over.  Their inflation rate is 12 to 20 percent per year, so the price of a trip is only going up (read: come now!).
Argentina, simply amazing!
