Home - at last!

Both flights were pretty ordinary, but then what can happen on an air flight. There isn't the range of possible excitement that you can have in a car journey, is there! On the Vlad/Moscow flight, the Business Class passengers were given wine with their meal, we weren't. So as the hostess came to the back of the plane, I asked her "What? No wine?" with a big smile. A few minutes later she whispered in my ear "If I get you some wine, do you want red or white?" So 2 glasses appeared, with a request that we keep it quiet! Lovely girl. But on the BMI flight (Moscow/London) they couldn't even find 2 seats together for us. First time Martin and I have been separated in 2 months!

We were met at London Heathrow by Alison and family. Lovely welcome, helium balloons and all. So nice to be appreciated!

Driven back to Alison & Martins, though I must admit I fell asleep a few times on the way. Then drove back to our house. By the time I got home my body clock was reading about 9am, with only a little sleep in the last 24, so I was pretty bushed.

Unusual feeling after being on the go for so long, sort of disorientated. Will take a while to get back into the swing of things.

Thanks to everyone who has followed our exploits, thanks for all the messages of support and the good wishes. I regret to advise that here the blog ends (apart from some photos which I still have to post) until we go and collect Stanley from the US West coast to drive to the East.

So, until then, Ta Ta For Now

I can only repeat what everyone has said.CONGRATULATIONS! Having got back from Inverness on Friday I have been catching up with the last 2 weeks of your adventures . It feels like I have been glued to this chair eagerly turning the pages but then I think of how many more hours you both have been driving and tending Stanley. Well done.
