SEt off early this morning in oredr to avoid the guy who adopted us last night. Claimed to be police, but the people at the hotel say he isnt, so  what's his plan for us? He'd said he'd meet us at the caef in town for breakfast at 9, so we were on the road by about 7.30. However, the roads in the town this morning were dreadful to sya the least, so it tookk us about 45 minutes to get out!

Onto the road and with an early start we managed to put on the miles, the road is good, at least the part that showed as proposed on our map. Of course iits new, whereas the old road (which was shown on the map as a main road) has suffered many winters. If their springs are like we have been experiencing, then I dont want to see the winters!

Late afternoon we passed a hotel on the side of the road. Decided to push on for a few more kms before we stopped, there would be another one wont there? Bad decision! There isnt. Evenbtually decided to redo the camping experience, so started looking for places. First one was too wet, the second the access wasnt good, the third one, well, you get the picture. Eventually we found one which looked fine, but just as we were pulling off, a Russina guy pitched up, and tried to help! The only way we could get rid of him was by saying all was well and driving off! Then another one, there was already someone stopped in it!
We stopped at a cafe, and a lady there spoke english and told us that there was a hotel 11km away, and gave directions. We turned off where she said, and went through thwe town as she said, asking along the way. Mixed reactions from "no idea" to "keep going" Eventually we found a police station where a very unhelpful cop pointed us to a dilapidated building across the road. No lights, no sign of life! So we backtracked all the way to the road. By this time it was dark, so we fouund the next laybye/parking and pulled in for the night. Dinner was a Penguin.

Mileage 695km
