Had a bit of a lie in this morning, no need to push  things too early. However the routine of getting going as soon as Martins alarm clock goes, means that I dont enjoy a leisurly lie is as I used to do in the pre Morris days.
Went across to Kurt's office, where we were put in touch with Swift Engineering, and Kurt got his driver in specially to take us to their offices. In a Raddisson hotel complex no less! Why didnt I work for an oil company! The journey there and back was a pleasure, going in a car that had comfy seats, suspension, acceleration, etc, all the things that are just a distant memory now!
Unfortunately the machine company isnt open over the weekend, so we will have to get the parts to them Monday morning. The rest of the morning was spent with Emin, one of Kurt's collegues, who had arranged the apartment for us. We have now moved into an apartment he sorted, which is much more space and cheaper. Only downside is, there's no wifi, so blog posts may become intermittant again! Emin also is sorting the customs problem we have. Although the visas we have are for a full 30 days, the car papers say it has to be out of the country within 3 days, which expires today. Emin's contact told him what we need to do in the way of paperwork, and that the customs office isnt open weekends, so he'll help us on Monday with that too.

Honestly, we couldnt have fallen with our *** more truly in the butter.

Went to lunch with Kurt, sank a few beers, then back to his apartment (amazing) where Martin Skyped his grandson for his birthday. Another beer, and we left Kurt to some privacy! Did some shopping, after all we cant eat out all the time, can we! Then I left Martin in the apartment while did some serious walking, back through the city into the Old City, wandered around sightseeing. First exercise I've had in a long time, so it was good to get the legs moving. Amazing city, there  are so many contrasts. Huge building developmets, but low safety standards, old and new, beautiful gardens in the central square, the old city. No idea how many photos I can post, but I really enjoyed my swift trip through the city. I love this place.

Mileage 15.7, probably half of that walking!

Looks like a very interesting place to visit. I am glad you are getting to see some of the countries and share the photos of places that the rest of us may never get to see.
