Wellington Zoo

Having heard that the Wellington Zoo was none too exciting, we were pleasantly suprised. I felt it was a bit overpriced at $15 per adult, but we passed a pleasant hour and a half there. We were lucky the animals seemed to be very interactive. I think it's probably more appropriate for families with children but we enjoyed ourselves there.
Who would have thought that otters making noises? The pelican was very entertaining as were many other animals (like the chimps!).
We could not find the Kiwi in the Kiwi exhibit for the life of us. Was it even there?
There was a zoo keeper present at the chimp exhibit who was very friendly and informative.
The zoo seems to be undergoing fairly significant renovations which should bring an improvement to the park. That being said, most of the exhibits seemed to be open.
