Had a good breakfast before setting off for Auckland for the day and for a meeting with a guy I met at Harrogate.
Drive in was good, not much traffic.
The place we were going to was right on the quayside, a fantastic location for their offices.
He took us next door to the pub for the meeting ! Excellent ! We had a long chat about living in New Zealand, everything came up in conversation. another guy from Harrogate also attended, and we were then joined by 2 other blokes from the company. The meeting soon turned to cricket and the Test match next week. 2 of the guys in the meeting were english. Anyway, they were very hopefully of placing me, I should have a more formal meeting on Friday next week when we are back in Auckland

.The meeting went so well that the 2 english guys, who are going to the cricket next week have invited me for a round of golf on Wednesday afternoon if we get to Hamilton early enough, and then for a night out on Wednesday. The following day we'll be at the cricket, and they have invited us to spend some time with them, on the players balcony !!! Quality. Let's hope it comes off.
Once the meeting was finished we had some lunch and went on a boat trip around the harbour. Very nice indeed. A good way to see the area from a different perspective.
We had a mooch around the centre, loads of shops and eateries before coming back the scenic route on the coast road, through some fantastic residential areas, some very nice houses and decent beaches dotted around the hilly coast line.
We're going out for a bit of tea followed by another early night to catch up on the sleep.
Tauranga tomorrow, supposed to be couple of hours drive, but probably more in our car !

hey dad me and emily have just been reading your blog, it sounds really really nice and the weather looks really nice too. hope your having a nice time!! me and emily are goin out for tea tomorrow(friday) to westwood. how the food there? you tried any lamb yet? i have been to sparkles to see about my party, and me and jenna have decided to have ajoint party together. simmy said we can have 18 people there in the room with food and music n stuff. its going to be around 100 to 120 pound he said. jennas mum and dad will be paying half aswell. we booked it for 28th march at 6 o clock til quarter to 8, but would you be able to ask simmy if we can have it a bit longer???:) ellen has lent us p.s i love you aswell so we are going to watch that one night, and we think we're going watching step up 2 on saturday! grandma and grandad have been in touch and ringing so they have been talking to us. anyway i'm going now because we are watching waterloo road.
