Airport transfer

Dubai is a massive airport, loads of Duty free shops, but no-where to sit, thy just want you to keep walking round the shops !
As we were late setting off from Manchester, we only had 2 hours in the airport, instead of 3, which was enough really. the

transfer was very smooth though, off the plane straight into departures area, as the tickets were printed in Manchester on the

way out.
We weren't that impressed with the view of Dubai from the plane, didn't look too appealing.
Taking off was a different matter, we've never see so much sand !! I've never seen a desert for real ! (Pict 25)
And then endless sea was only broken when we flew over the Maldives (49)
We also got the timing of this flight wrong, it was 13 hours, not 8 as expected ! And we had a right fat g*t sat in front of us,

with a moaning missus sat in front of me.
They both reclined their seats, resulting in us not having any room and being unable to see the screens properley, but when I

asked her to only send them back half way she had a right moan. And by about 3 hours in, he began to smell off !
The worst thing we found with the flight was that I had watched a 2 hour film, we'd had 2 meals, drinks and a kip for about an

hour, and when I woke up the sign said 7h 29mins to Melbourne, 4500miles to go, OMG !
This again was a strange flight as far as day and night, we set off at 10 in the morning, local time, we flew from daylight into

night, and it came light just as we were approaching Melbourne, so nearly a full day, and a full night in 13 hours, bizarre.
