Where I stayed
We got up super early (around 5am) to make our flight from DFW to NYC. We wanted to spend as much time there as possible. When we arrived we unpacked our things and headed out for Times Square. We WERE tourists, after all. I'd like to pretend we were too cool for that stuff, but it was our first time there and you just HAVE to do that stuff.
We ate dinner at a Thai restaurant around the corner from our hotel, which was good, but had NO SPICE whatsoever. As southerners, that was a bit disappointing, but the food was still good.
Times Square = insanity. The amount of people concentrated in that one area is overwhelming, but is also invigorating and exciting. We stopped for a drink at a local Irish pub with real Irish bar tenders. Pretty fun.
