Flights--yucky (23 hours of flight time; 4 hrs in Frankfurt layover = no fresh air for 27 hrs!)
United-not comfy chairs, small space, blah food.
S. Africa Airways-great chairs, good room, good food (for airplane food), good service, larger individual screens, can control movies (I watched KungFu Panda, Prince Caspian, Sex in the City)
Health--pretty good (still fighting off this cold)

Walked around City Bowl on Long Street. Loads of shops for tourists. A bit overwhelming.
Our hotel is really nice and quaint. They serve complimentary breakfast, but its not the run of the mill continental. Its really nice and the whole downstairs is broken up into living areas with loads of books, complimentary sherry and port. Yummy.

After our walk we had dinner at Greens. I had one of my cravings and eventhough my taste-buddies are currently limited, I ordered my salt and pepper squid (calamari, of course) and chicken livers for my main course. The chicken livers were denoted as "light dinner" on the menu, but it was neither a small portion or "light" as Ern's salmon on top of crushed potatoes. But it satiated my craving for now. Til my next craving...

We are excited and glad that this was our first stop to ease into our travels. More later...
