Utilizing almost every cheap airline in Europe resulted in purchasing a German Wings flight to Cologne. Here I would spend several relaxing nights before hopping a train to Frankfurt and continuing onward.
Most of my time was spent wandering Cologne's various shopping streets and catching up on emails, something I am continually behind in. I did put on my tourist hat for a moment to climb the tower in Dom Cathedral, but sight seeing wasn't a priority. What was included sleeping in, eating big dinners and enjoying the local kolsh beer. It was a lazy time, I'll admit it. But after the craze of the last month I needed it.
  
 
With a fresh hair cut and bags packed, I left this quaint German town refreshed and ready to leave Europe. It had been a great journey, but I was eager to move onto my next destination, the lost continent of Africa!
