The group that I was with hadn't been to Kinsale yet, but since I had just went 2 weeks prior I didn't really want to go again
. However, I felt pretty bad and eventually caved in, it also helped that my amazing friend Jenna paid for my ticket, much to my dismay. Nonetheless we were off to Kinsale. Considering I had just been there I remembered some places to go, mainly Charles Fort and the Bulman pub. I ended up being very happy that I went to Kinsale, I feel like this time I was able to enjoy everything so much more and the weather was absolutely beautiful.
After we went to the Charles Fort we went to the Bulman pub that I didn't get a chance to go last time. You are able to take your drinks outside and sit on a ledge facing the water with your feet dangling. We went during the perfect time because we were able to drink, chat, and watch the sunset. After we finished our drinks we skipped some rocks by the water, played fetch with a couple local dogs, one which was the dog that followed my friends and I the last time I went to Kinsale, and then we collected sea glass. By the end of our trip I was so happy with how the day went and that I ended up going.
So today some friends and I were planning on going to the Drombeg Stone Circle, which is basically a mach Stonhenge and only an hour away from Cork City. We left Victoria Lodge at around 9:50 and started walking to the bus station. We were about half way there when we realized we were going to miss our bus, so we stopped to get breakfast at The Wholy Grain, which is kind of like Panera only with fresher ingredients and just better all around. I got the french toast with maple butter and maple syrup and it was amazing, I was kind of glad we missed the bus so I got a chance to eat them. After breakfast we went to the bus station to catch the next bus, but the ticket ended being a little too expensive. Next time we should really not make plans at the last minute. So our dilemma was that we still wanted to go some where since it was beautiful out and we didn't want to waste the day, but we couldn't make up our minds.
