Wassup?

Back in Croatia and next to the sea, woohoo! Spent the next couple of days on the penisula in a town called tresnik close to ston, soaking up the sun and getting brown.

Myself, Cy, Hamish, Katie, Digger and Astro went diving just off the coast where a sunken german torpedo ship lay. The guide was a bit of a cowboy, gear wasn't the best and the dive went down to 38m which was a bit scary as I hadn't done my deep dive yet but it was still pretty cool. The boat itself was still pretty much intact but there wasn't too much ocean life to see. We were only allowed to do one lap so spent the rest of the time doing rolly pollies and hovering in neutral bouancy, genie style. Caught up with Zeke, Jen, Leila and Bambam at a nice beach and werr joined later in the day by Mads and Kim so we had the whole crew back together again. Snuck into the nearby campsite for a shower, yeah, I'm a maori..

Stayed that night in Ston in a carpark next to cop station (it's illigal to free camp in croatia so that was quite funny) and in the morn we climbed the old city walls that suround the town, another climb up a steep hill but some great views nonetheless. Then off to Dubrovnik and a camp ground for our last night together as 7 vans 14 crew as Mads and Kim were leaving us in Italy.

A slow start the next day then into the old part of town to see the very cool walled town on the sea side. Highlight was our lunch in a small seafood resturant ..... Cy had a huge plate of mussels and I had a  scampi pasta which we followed up with gelati.

We tried to sneak back into camp ground to see zZke and Jen, Bambam and Leila but were snapped so had to leave. So we drove back out of Dubrovnik and free camped in a cool spot by the water but at 4 am some guy came and tooted his horn for ages, trying to make us leave ....... we hung tight and he eventually left saying the police were coming but it turned out ok, no cops, just a disturbed sleep.

Our last day in Croatia, bit of a shame and it is so nice, and the water beautiful. But we had a ferry to catch to italy and a month of pasta pizza and gelati!

Ciao Cy and Ants

p.s. I hope Bern's wedding was great!
