Vienna, Austria

Hi all,
The next morning, after the wedding, we set off to Bratislava to drop off some wedding guests and then crossed the border into Austria. Headed to Vienna in search of a good schnitzel and met up with Bambam and Leila at a nice free camp spot next to the river. Next morning we drove to a campsite and had a lazy morning doing washing and other van stuff that Cyrus always puts off cause he's always hungover.
Finally got the motivation to hire some bikes and do our own Antipodean Wine tour. Had a very scenic biike ride along the river - venetians have a very casual attidue towards sunbathing naked. Picked the first winery to visit which turned out to be up a fricken mountain (ok, more like a hill but it felt like Mt Sinai all over again). After pushing our bikes all the way up we found the winery and indulged in a couple of jugs. Heady stuff. We then raced back down, stopped at another little winery and indulged some more. At that point we decided it would be a great idea to finish the wine tour at one of the bars along the riverside so we continued back towards the river. Managed to lose Bambam and Cyrus on the way but found them again at one of the bars, already gripping beers. The cocktails were cheap so we all got stuck into those - ahh, the goodness. Finally made it back to camp to shower, change and head into town for that famous schnitzel.
Bit of a mission getting into the city and then the resturant we wanted to go to was closed. So we ended up at an italian resturaunt, it may not have been shcnitzel but the meal was fanastic. Taxied it back to the campsite and left the next morning to start our trek to Croatia. Finally managed to have a schnitzel at a resturaunt off the motorway - was pretty funny as all 8 of us ordered it, strange looks from the waiter but was worth it. Said our goodbyes to Leila and Bambam as they headed to Lake Bled. Ourselves, Mads and Kim, and Zeke and Jen continued on, crossing into Slovenia, into Croatia and stopping for the night at a services near Zagreb.
More soon.
