Hey all...

crossed the border into Hungary and found an awesome camping spot next to a boat club. Took advantage of the riverside setting to have a bbq on the beach with Katie and Hamish and then watched a movie, nice and gory, just how I like them.

The next morning we found a camping ground just outside the city, parked the vans up and took off into the city to explore. Just a quick bit of background - there are 2 parts to the city, Buda being the older part and Pest the more modern. We ended up on the Buda side, checked out the castle and booked ourselves on a bus tour of the city later that arvo.

Sis had told me about a labrynith running under the castle so we headed there for some fun. Was pretty cool, a bit eerie with weird statues all over the place, music playing in the background. Stumbled onto what we thought was a great score - a fountain spouting red wine, awesome. Until we tasted it. Awful, foul stuff. So we took a couple of bottles for everyone to try the next time we'd meet up. Also went into the Chamber of Bravery which was pitch black, made it to the end giggling like kids all the way to cover the fact we were packing ourselves and then sprinted back to the entrance.

Crossed over to the Pest side where we indulged in trusty McDonalds (no KFC in sight, damn!) and then jumped on the bus for a tour around the city. Took us to some great spots like Heroes Square, learnt some interesting facts about Budapest. Went for a few drinks afterwards and then back to the campsite for a quiet night.

The next day we were joined by Bambam, Leila, Zeke and Jen - good to see them again after Berlin. While they went off to do the touristy stuff the rest of us headed back into town for some shopping - managed to pick up a wedding present as well which we'd left to the last minute as ususal.

We met the others back at the campsite and decided to hit the town. This ended up being a dodgy nightclub on board a boat playing the cheesiest trance music I have ever heard (Justin, you would have cried!). The only highlight was when one girl accidentally set her hair on fire, leaning too close to a candle. We admitted defeat and went back to the campsite.

The next day Hamish and Katie left to pick up Rach at Bratislava, Bambam and Leila headed in the same direction while Cy, myself, Zeke and Jen headed back up Slovakia to Banska Bystrica for Scott and Ivanna's wedding.

That's all for now kids.
