We were back on the plane at 0900, heading to Toronto. We landed at the city airport - to get out the airport was very easy compared to the bigger airports.
We caught a taxi to Craig and Tanya's place - where Orin's second birthday party had kicked off.
Orin had a number of his little friends and his cousins with him. They got an animal show and tell for entertainment. All sorts of interesting animals. Anton was relieved that they arrived after the snake had come out - which Craig had wrapped over his shoulders earlier.
We were in time to see a baby alligator, a chinchilla and a rabbit. A very cool show - the kids and adults were enthralled with seeing and touching the animals. Orin even had the chinchilla put on his head! Very sweet.
After the show we had a great spread of pizza and salads for lunch. The highlight however was the designer cupcakes for desert. Evil and yummy.
When only family remained, the present opening began. Orin got some fun toys. The cousins helped him unwrap them.
The family from Collingwood then headed off - they had a two hour drive back home. We had an afternoon of playing with Orin, after which we headed out for a nice earlyish family dinner at a western style restaurant.
On the way home Craig showed us his friend Stuarts house Chistmas lights which are truly remarkable. A massive light setup which is synchronized to music which he broadcasts on a micro radio station. Very impressive and fun.
