We sailed through the night to reach our latest destination in Newcastle on Tyne
form Newcastle we joined our bus tour to York which was the hub of Viking activity in the early days
York is surounded by ancient stone walls and castles that really throw you back to times before and create a real life history lesson . We visited Jorvik that detailed all the history of York and was built on an actual archeological dig site in which they found actual and factual remains of the viking days this was a facinating and interesting tour
We walked on through the area called the Shambles which buildings and cobblestone streets date back to the turn of the century
Lunch was a little old pub within the confines of the Shambles where it appears I have developed a liking for Guiness ( just 1 or 6 while the girls are shopping )
Hopped on the bus for the sleep (90minutes) back to the Eurodam
A great day was had by all
