It seems that we have managed to spend the best part of our trip loading and unloading dads camper trailer, driving to bush camps to set up and then pack up only days later - due to being rained out. Our last stint in the bush found us holed up in the camper trailer for 24 hours, stuck in a wicked thunder storm before we could even think of packing up - being confined in a damp small space with dad and Ant underneath big old jarrah trees creaking in the wind loses its appeal after a couple of hours - let's just say Jim Beam and camping don't mix!
Once we finally gave in to the Weather God we have found ourselves back Perth for our last 10 days on the continent.
In between the rain and wind, we've managed to check out a few cafés in Freo, visit the modern art gallery with 1,000 school children and found the best hot dog place in Australia! We will be forever grateful to my dad and Yvonne for 'putting up with us'... trying to entertain a couple of tight, money pinching travelers I'm sure can be a huge pain in the butt, but they've taken us in their stride and made sure we've had stuff to do to keep us from boredom.
We're now about to start leg 2 of our journey. 24 hours in Singapore sleeping in pod style hostel - for $74AUD I'm hoping its going to be pretty special, Riyadh airport for 5 hours and then... London!! We are just getting a little bit excited about arriving in London!!
Here's hoping that the weather is a bit better than Perth.
