27/02 Wednesday: Classes very early of course.  In the HispanoAmerica class, a girl gave a presentation on Cuban health care.  I didn't know that it was so top notch.  Spanish Culture, we learned some more about Spanish gestures and language.  When somebody does something that they shouldn't have done, you slap your face and say "que cara!"  When something is surprising, you shake your hand back and forth and say "que fuerte!"  Spanish language class, we learned about the verb querer (to want) and practiced saying quiero (I want) blah blah blah.  Then at 1, during class, we went with the other class that had very few people because of the long weekend and went to a bodega (bar).  The place had really good tapas- paella!  Can you imagine going to a bar for a class in the states? No!  Came back for lunch- spaghetti and meatballs.  Then I took a very long siesta until dinner.  Then we went to a pub where our salsa instructors give lessons/ have free dance.  It was a lot of fun and we learned a few more moves and got to see some really good dancers.
28/02 Thursday:  Today I spent a lot of the day in the cocina.  Woke up and had breakfast and Lola and Holly were in there, so I tried practicing Spanish a little and watching tv.  Lola found us some salsa CDs, so we all listened to those.  I did some reading of my ultimo elefante blanco until lunch- soup with beans and jamon, salad, and random salami like things that Lola and Miguel (Lola's adorable boyfriend).  After lunch, Holly, Lauren, and I went to the Albaicin to explore and take lots of pictures!.  On our way back, there was a crowd in Plaza Nueva and there was a guy from the circus that did a really fun act where he walked on a tight rope and juggled knives!
