I have lived in Massachusetts for about a year before leaving. So here is a journal entry to my time there and some pictures to go along with it.

August 5, 2009:

How exciting! My old friend from school came to visit me in MA! Since we both never really been to Cape Cod, we decided to head out 2 hours to check out the beaches. Oh what a day, as soon as we get into Cape Cod, it starts to rain. So there goes that idea of the beach. But the clouds are not going to discourage us, so we headed up north to beat the clouds towards Plymouth. Found a great beach called White horse beach and sunbathed there instead. Hey, it was fun and we still managed to go to the beach.

August 8, 2009:

My sister came to visit so we decide to take a little tour around Boston. Walked by Fanuelle Hall and headed towards Boston Harbor. Stopped by Samuel Adams brewery for some really good beer. Needless to say, Sam Adams is my new favorite beer company.

That night, I rounded together 2 of my other friends and went out to a club in Boston. Please don't ever drive into Boston at night. It is super hard to find parking around the area and if there is parking they are usually reserved for residents in the apartment. Went to a place called The Greatest bar, which supposedly has 4 floors. But it was just ok, I realized that nightlife in MA does not compare to NYC or Vegas. But you know what they say, it's not the place that matters but the company you are with. Had a great time with my sister and friends. Miss you sis!

August/ October 2009:

I'm so happy because my two best friends are coming up to visit! We are going to have a great time! Since they have never been to Boston, I decide to take them on the Freedom Trail- easy right? Just follow the red line on the floor but knowing me I always like shortcuts! So we tried to skip the red line and head straight to Fanuelle Hall but somehow managed to get lost and ended up on the other end of the freedom trail and saw the State House from behind. Haha. So my short cut ended up being the long cut... but its ok at least now I know Boston a little better. Haha.

October 25, 2009:

Since I was not able to climb Bunker Hill Monument with my best friends, I decided to do it today. There are 294 steps to the Monument, which isn't too bad. The stairs were very narrow, can fit about 1 1/2 people, which made it difficult to share the space with people coming down the other end. It was really dark too and I kept saying to myself the view at the top of the monument better be spectacular. But it was a little disappointing. The top of the monument was very small and it was over crowded with teenagers and the view was nice but it wasn't spectacular.

October 31, 2009:

I absolutely love Halloween. Just the thought of getting creeped out and scared out of my pants is exciting and fun! I've been to two a few different haunted houses but never thought to take a picture. Except for the one picture that I have was when I went to Six Flags New England Fright Fest. It was fun and different but I don't think I will be doing Fright Fest again.

May 2010:

Cape Cod part 2! This time it's sunny today and we are going to hit up Cape Cod! Except still a little dissapointed because its not what I expected it to be. We had a tough time finding public parking and all "public" beaches require $15 admission fee. I think paying for a beach is a rip off. So the only place we found only allowed visitors to park and hang by the beach for only 30 minutes. Our adventure to Cape Cod was yet again a failure.

But it's ok we stopped by a homemade candy store and got some really good chocolate. Then had some clam strips.. mmmm so good.

June 21, 2010:

I've always wanted to go to the Museum of Science in Boston! It's really pricey to get in but I think it's worth it. The museum is a lot different than other science museums because this place is very hands on and encouraged learning for adults and children alike. Saw some baby chicks hatch from an egg, learned about the human brain and heart. Got to touch a stuffed real black bear. It was fun and I had a great time. Thanks Rob for joining me!
