But we are very safe from that at the moment! So no worries on that front just a sad situation that this country has turned against each other so easily.
I have very much settled into Jamaican life now, i can't quite imagine England anymore i'm going to have a massive culture shock! The roads, the insane driving without seatbelts, the seriously relaxed personalities, the gorgeous kids, the best sunsets ever! England doesn't quite compare right now, so if you could all move out here that would be great!
I had a great week with the kids i decided to teach them dodgeball which was a risk as when i have done it in England the girls all cry and the boys cry too actually so i thought this could really end in tears...So myself and the P.E teacher warned them we were going to throw it hard and bless them they just got totally over excited and couldn't wait, the roars of laughter was just amazing! NO tears! YES! A success all round, in fact for the first time they listened to me and wanted to do it again!!!
On Thursday the volunteers went to Mile Gully for a day for a "cook-out and concert". So we had the lime and spoon race, needle and thread race, amaaaazing jamaican food, treasure hunt and of course my favourite the reggae dance off! It was awesome fun! Mile Gully is just like paradise it was insane! And we had loads of fun...my team came second...disappointing!
Unfortunately we weren't allowed to travel far because of this gang situation so my best friend here had her birthday on the same day and invited the 6 girls and AJ over for a girly night...reading cosmo magazine with rum and some musical songs a very Brit moment but was needed! Got some fantastic presents including a Red Stripe pair of earrings and a red stripe bottle carving from AJ - guess what i drink out here!! And a Justin Bieber magazine which i plan to burn and some Jamaican toursty things as well as a "Ghetto" t shirt because apparently i am a bit ghetto!
Then on Saturday AJ and I went to Black River and stayed in the first house in Jamaica to get electricity right next to the sea looking over a shipwreck it was awesome! Thought the taxi hit a dog so i was in a bit of a state for a while! Think it was ok though!
So now it's back to work...so i will write at the end of this week! Love to you all! xxx
