So we're in Helsinki, Finland - our very last stop before we return to Norway. After the almost 8 hours flight from New York, without any sleep on board the plane, the jet lag caught up with us rather quickly upon arrival. We spent the remainder of the day walking around downtown Helsinki before we had dinner and went to bed early.

The following day we continued our sightseeing around Helsinki, walking past the Lutheran Cathedral, the Uspenski Cathedral, and the Market Square. Obviously we did not have a lot of time in Finland, and the chilly weather allowed for some Christmas shopping for what was left of the day. Santa Claus and Moomin souvenirs could be found everywhere; this is after all the home of both! With our flight departing later this very day, we headed for the airport early to do even more shopping, as Vantaa airport has been named the best in Europe.

This means the end of our travels for now, and tomorrow we'll be back home in Norway. But keep watching for one final posting, sometime during Christmas...
