Heaven in Caribbean Blue

As a little side trip while in the Caribbean we decided to visit one of the surrounding islands. We chose Anguilla, part of the British West Indies, for our one day excursion. This former colony is today a Britain dependency, and is located less than 20 minutes by boat from St. Maarten. They even drive on the left hand side or the road; probably one of very few Caribbean island doing so. For this short trip Cato had to buy a drivers license in order to rent a car on the island. Although we never actually found any reason why the license was needed, it was probably as a way of acknowledging that this island actually has left hand side driving.
Anguilla has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and we spent a day in Shoal Bay, on the northern part of the island. The colours of the water here were beautiful, even prettier than in St. Maarten. The sand on the island looks and feels almost like flour, it is as fine as anything you can imagine. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself! Not much more to say about this island, as we spent the whole day on the beach and in the turquoise water...
