Spent 2 hours at this world class aquarium, really enjoyed the sea otters, tame albatross, wonderful display of the most amazing jellyfish, huge Sturgeon, sunfish etc..very well done.Wandered around Cannery Row then went out on the 17mile Pebble Beach drive, a private toll road (so no bikes allowed) through all the famous golf courses and beaches, tons of seals basking on the rocks, magnificent homes, some on at least an acre and huge, lots of trees, rocks and amazing gates. Ended up in Carmel, very boutiquey and exclusive place, lovely shops and were entertained by a man with guitar, white rabbit on his head and a chicked on his shoulder....say no more!!!!!Back to Monterey and a very nice dinner at The Fish Hopper.Off early next day, A riding the lovely drive up the coast to Santa Criuz, Pesadore and Half Moon Bay, where the PGI world ladies golf tournament was on so police everywhere. Up over the hill and down into SF, over the Golden Gate bridge past Sausalito with all the house boats, to Muir Woods to see a Redwood forest and have late lunch. Huge trees, not as big as Tane Mahuta( for those in NZ) but very interesting. When one dies or falls over, from the root structure up pops about 5 in a circle. Very steep hill to drop down to the woods and up again. On to the Napa region to our hotel in American Canyon, not such a nice area, but a lovely hotel.
